Company history

FARHO is the result of the extensive experience of its founder, José Antonio Ochoa.

Some thirty years ago now, while working on Scottish and Norwegian oil rigs, Jose Antonio Ochoa Fernández identified the need to come up with a high performance heating system that would stand up to the extremely low temperatures that prevail in the North Sea.

He rose to this challenge by managing to perfect the thermal fluid used by heaters to create a low-energy electrical heating system.

Jose Antonio Ochoa decided to patent his formula and, based on the experience gained in the thermal heater sector, in the 1980’s he began to put this knowledge to commercial use, setting up FARHO in 1995.

As with all beginnings, he encountered difficulties, but the ambition, determination and effort of a magnificent human team and noteworthy market success brought with it the definitive consolidation of the company. Year after year sales have increased, thus reflecting our market leading position in electrical heating systems.

At present, business and production growth have led us to extend our installations, to the extent of automating assembly, filling and packing processes. These new 10,000 m2 facilities enable us to make a radiator every 25 seconds, thus ensuring a production capacity that meets the demands of the both internal and foreign markets.
